STOCK AND MUTUAL FUND GIFTS TO CRU


Cru accepts stock and mutual funds as donations into our brokerage account. When the shares are received, Cru will then sell the shares and transfer the proceeds from the sale to the staff or ministry of your choosing. Cru will issue you a receipt for the shares that can be used for tax purposes.

PLEASE NOTE: The shares of stock arrive in our brokerage account without any information about the person donating the shares nor the purpose of the gift.

If your transfer has been made, but you have opted to not use the form linked above, please email stock@cru.org with the following information:

  • Your name and address

  • The name of the stock and the number of shares

  • For the benefit of:

GRAIN AND LIVESTOCK


If you produce commodities, such as grain and livestock, you can give by selling the product in Cru's name. The elevator will then forward a check from the sale to Cru. There are instances where a Non-Cash Gifts Administrator may need to contact the elevator to facilitate the sale. If needed, please reach out to us.

To request a sale in Cru's name at your local elevator, please use the Commodities Form.

After making a gift, it's crucial to contact Cru with the following information:
  • Your name and address
  • Name and number of commodities sold
  • For the benefit of

    • This information can be sent by mailing or faxing a completed copy of the Commodities Form, emailing us at stock@cru.org, or calling us toll-free at 1-888-278-7233 (opt. 1 then opt. 2).



    FUTURE GIFTS FROM WILLS, TRUSTS, ETC


    All gifts which are received from a will, trust, annuity or life insurance policy are processed by Cru Foundation. They can be reached by telephone at 1(800) 449-5454, by email at info@crufoundation.org or by mail at the following address:
